The old cafeteria at the freedom square which used to be an atrium inside the public market was replaced with fiberglass roofing which ceiling between stalls were beautifully designed with colorful umbrellas whose concept came from Architect Acabal.
City Government Assistant Department Head I and Officer-In-Charge of the Public Market and Slaughter House and Integrated Land Transport Terminal Leila B. Mansueto said that the new design is now safe for vendors and consumers because the area was once very slippery during rainy days due to the open roofing.
She was thankful to the city officials that the request of vendors to have the old coffee stalls renovated was materialized and now with a unique beautiful design.
