DTI – Negros Occidental Conducts Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay in San Carlos City

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Negros Occidental in partnership with the local government of San Carlos City through the Negosyo Center conducted the Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay Program held at Barangay Rizal, July 28.

The Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay Program aimed at helping the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the province of Negros Occidental to grow. San Carlos City is the first among the 14 selected cities to be assisted by DTI – Negros Occidental in providing awareness about the agency’s services through its Negosyo Center, and conducting business development assistance and other business operations.

At least 100 potential and existing entrepreneurs participated in the orientation divided into two batches, 55 in the morning and 45 in the afternoon.

Atty. Estefanio S. Libutan Jr., San Carlos City Administrator, in behalf of City Mayor Renato Gustilo said that citizens should condition themselves to venture into business. He added that people should not hesitate to approach our city mayor since the government will be there to support.

The one-day activity covered topics such as DTI Programs and Services; How to Start your Business; Consumer Rights and Responsibilities; Advocacy on the Health Minimum Protocols for Dine – in Services of Restaurants and Fast - food Establishments, and Barbershops and Salons.
