City Celebrates 121st CSC Anniversary

The San Carlos City- local government unit thru the Office for Human Resource Management kicked off the 121st Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission with a monthlong sportsfest, Sep. 13 at City Sporks Park.

This year's CSC celebration carries the theme, "Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-heroes".
The program started with a message by City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo who mentioned that the Team Unity will be adding P1,000 to the current prizes of the categories of Badminton, Lawn Tennis and Table Tennis.
Gustilo added that everyone should not just focus on the cash prize but to play for fun since most of the government employees were also under stress due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
Vice Mayor Christopher Paul Carmona on the other hand said that every year the CSC celebration thru the sporting events helped the employees enhance their strength and agility by participating in the various sports events.
Juan Carlos Ramon Solidarios, Nurse III of the City Health Office led the Oath of Sportsmanship followed by Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Philip Gerard Maisog who formally declared the opening of the 121st CSC Anniversary's Sports Festival.
The program ended with a ceremonial serve in badminton made by Mayor Gustilo, Vice Mayor Carmona, SP Members Maisog and Wilmer Yap.
Nonnie Lopez, cluster head of the Philippine Sports Commission was also present to witness the said event.
