Badminton Players Visit San Carlos City

Reputable Badminton players in Negros Occidental paid courtesy to City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo, Sept. 20, 2021.

Coach Ian De Asis of the City Sports Office, arranged for the invitation of the said players along with Coach Jay Biñas upon the request of Gov. Eugenio Jose V. Lacson for a friendly match with the local badminton players to boost their competitiveness and to develop their skills in the field of Badminton, held yesterday at the City Sports Park.
The friendly match between the visitors and the local enthusiasts aimed at motivating the local players to do better and excel in the said sport since said badminton players once started as amateurs until they excelled and became varsity players in numerous prestigious Academic Institutions in the Philippines that provided them with opportunities to participate in National and International Competitions.
During the match, the local badminton players were paired with said visitors to boost camaraderie and learnings through tips on gameplay.
The visitors underwent Antigen Tests before the friendly game to ensure health safety precautions.
The players include Lance Gabriel Vargas, John Daniel Ababao, Mia Manguilimotan, Eljee John Gavile, Joshua Miguel Cuarte, Trisha Marie Postrano, Harvey John Polidario, Susmita Angelique Ramos and Ellana Tan.
