LGU Reps Undergo Training-Workshop on E-LCCAP Formulation

The representatives of the local government of San Carlos City under the social, economic, infrastructure and environment sectors underwent a 3-day training-workshop on the formulation of the Enhanced Local Climate Change Action Plan (E-LCCAP) last Oct. 18-20, 2021.
The E-LCCAP formulation training-workshop aimed at apprising the participants about the actions to be taken including the step-by-step process of the plan; application of the Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA) as the tool for local climate change action planning; define local priority actions for both adaptation and mitigation; and to formulate the actual plan.
Engr. Magnolia B. Antonio, City Planning and Development Coordinator, said the training-workshop also provided participants information on the impacts of climate change at the same time gather important data from the localized profiling database which is the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS).
Antonio added that E-LCCAP is a five-year plan mandated by the Local Government Code of 1991 which focuses on the adjustments created to reduce the effects of climate change.
Antonio also said that a write shop will be conducted in November to finalize the E-LCCAP formulation.
