City’s SWM office receives Presidential Award

San Carlos City’s Solid Waste Management Office was awarded the 2011 Presidential/Lingkod Bayan Award (Group Category) in the Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees launched by the Civil Service Commission annually.

The San Carlos City Solid Waste Management Office is compose of Engr. Loreto Sanchez, Senior Environmental Management Specialist, Engr. Arthur Batomalaque, Environmental Management Specialist I, Marietta Lomocso, Administrative Aide VI Michelle Dumdum, Administrative Aide VI, Analou Gomo, Administrative Aide VI, Emmanuel Blanco, Administrative Aide IV and Charity Acabal, Administrative Aide VI.

The group, together with San Carlos City Mayor Gerardo P. Valmayor Jr. received the award from Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa during the awarding ceremony last Nobember 9, 2011 at Malacañang Palace.

The team received a cash prize of P200,000 and gold-gilded medallion for each member and plaque of recognition signed by President Benigno S. Aquino III.

The award for the San Carlos City SWMO is the first Presidential Lingkod Bayan award for the city.

Tha award is conferred to an individual or group of individuals for exceptional or extraordinary contributions resulting from an idea or performance that had nationwide impact on public interest, security and patrimony.

The awarding is part of the 2011 Honor Awards Program of the Civil Service Commission.
