San Carlos City Constructs New Hospital

Construction of the estimated P150M new city hospital at Hda. Sta. Ana, Brgy. Palampas is now ongoing following groundbreaking rites last December 8.

The construction involve  the first phase of the project that includes the emergency room, pharmacy, administrative office, clinical laboratories, admitting section, out-patient department, doctors’ offices, among others.

The Department of Public Works and Highways is the implementing agency of the first phase through Wilkinson Construction which has a budget of P20M from the funds of Cong. Jules Ledesma and P2M from Kasangga Partylist.

The succeeding phases of the construction will be funded by the city at P30M more or less, and by the provincial government of Negros Occidental who pledged P30M.

The contractor has 300 calendar days to complete the project which will be monitored by the City Engineering Department as to quality of work.

The building with a floor area of more or less 5,000 square meters sits on a 1.9 hectare lot.
