AN ORDINANCE TEMPORARILY CLOSING TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC THE AREA OF V. GUSTILO STREET FROM CORNER LOCSIN STREET TO CORNER V.M. ATIENZA AVENUE ON FEBRUARY 27, 2010 ONLY

WHEREAS, the City of San Carlos will be celebrating its Golden Anniversary on July 1, 2010;

WHEREAS, several activities are lined up serving as introduction to the Golden Anniversary Celebration which started on January 30, 2010;

WHEREAS, one of these activities is the Kasadya-an Sa Kalye to be held on February 27, 2010 at the area from Corner Locsin Street to Corner V.M. Atienza Avenue;

WHEREAS, Kasadya-an sa Kalye invites volume of people that may congest and hamper traffic flow in the said area;

NOW THEREFORE on Motion of Hon. ANTONIO, duly seconded by Hon. DIZON,

Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of San Carlos, Negros Occidental, in regular session assembled, that:

SECTION 1. It is hereby declared that the area of V. Gustilo Street from Corner Locsin Street to Corner V.M. Atienza Avenue is temporarily closed for all motor vehicles, including pedicabs and bicycles on February 27, 2010 only.

SEC 2. – This Ordinance shall take effect upon approval.

ENACTED: FEBRUARY 18, 2010, by the affirmative votes of Hons. YU, VILLARANTE, SANTILLAN, MASCUNANA, SANTIAGO, DIZON, ANTONIO, APUHIN and DOLLOSA. NEGATIVE: None. Abstention: None.
