San Carlos Sanggunian National Finalist in the Local Legislative Awards |

In an awarding ceremony held last on March 9, 2007 at the Cebu International Convention Center, Cebu City, The Sangguniang Panlungsod of San Carlos City was adjudged National Finalist in the Local Legislative Awards. According to information from the local DILG office, San Carlos was second among component cities that vied for the national award.  | Earlier, in the regional level competition, the SP of San Carlos City won as the Most Outstanding Sangguniang Panlungsod (Component City category) in Region 6 this year.The SP received the award on February 17, 2007 in ceremonies held at Iloilo Grand Hotel, Iloilo City. As regional winner, San Carlos City’s Sanggunian represented the region in the legislative award in the national level. To qualify for the regional competition, San Carlos City Sangguniang Panlungsod won the Most Outstanding Sangguniang Panlungsod award, provincial level on September 2006. |
SP San Carlos City hinged its award on the e-documention and paperless nature of its transaction. Additionally, selection was based on the effectiveness of legislative tracking system, efficiency performance of the Sanggunian and quality of office set-up and staff complement, among others. |
